HELLO WONDERFUL WOMEN OF PHILANTHROPY!

We have a great year ahead – and are hoping that YOU will be a part of it!  Our kick-off meeting will be Thursday, September 11th from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Uwharrie Bank across from Stonecrest.  Our special guest at that meeting will be our CWC President, Laurey Cosentino. She will share about the coming year, and we will also have some fun getting to know one another a little, as well as hearing about upcoming Philanthropy events.  Please note that this meeting is a second Thursday.  Our first two meetings are both on second Thursdays, and then we return primarily to first Thursdays in 2026. (See the schedule below!) Our Philanthropy meetings are wide open to all!  Please sign up online so we can prep for the right number.

We have some great events coming up! 

*August 24 - September 7  is our Promising Pages drive.  This is a great chance to support childhood literacy.  Your gift of either new books or gently used children’s books will make all the difference to parts of Charlotte that are a “book desert.”   All of the info. will be on the website and sent out through a special email. Coordinator: Dorinda Jenkins (dorindajenkins@gmail.com).  PS: You can also bring your books to our Sept. 11th gathering!

Thursday, September 18, 1-3 pm:  Join in the fun supporting Lift Up Carolinas!  (formerly the Assistance League.) Coordinator: Terri Fishman.

Thursday, September 25, 12 – 1:30:  Come out for Bright Blessings & Be a bright blessing to a child in need.  Coordinators: Gayle McKearin & Beth Daniels.
