SAMBA

Samba is a variation of Canasta which allows both standards melds (groups of cards of the same value) as well as sequences (cards in numerical order in the same suit) to score points. The game is played by four players forming teams of two. A Samba match consists of four rounds with minimum point values of 50/90/120/150. A team must complete one Samba, five red Canastas, one black Canasta, one Canasta of sevens and one Canasta of wild cards to the end of a round.

The club meets the 4th Monday of the month from 11:00 to 2:30 at Outback Steak House, 8338 Pineville-Matthew’s Rd., Charlotte, NC 28226. Lunch is optional.
